Climbing – Bouldering at Juara Beach, Juara Village in Tioman Island

If you are from KL, the nearest jetty is Jetty Tanjung Gemok. You can buy a ferry ticket through online (visit bluewater.my) from Jetty Tanjung Gemok to Jetty Tekek Village. RM120 per person, the processing fee is RM7.20 plus Tioman Marine Park fee (RM5-adult, RM2-senior citizen).  You better check in your ferry ticket via online then go counter tell your booking no. and take your ferry boarding pass and ferry ticket plus Tioman Marine Park ticket. You must come 30 minutes early to the counter at 10.30am for 11am departure. 11,30 am counter will be closed. It will take 3 hours to arrive at Jetty Tekek Village (they will hoping one jetty to another jetty, got 6 jetties in total). At Jetty Tanjung Gemok got a toilet and a light food shop.

ATM (BSN) 3 minutes from Jetty Tanjung Gemok in the nearest Petronas or 7Eleven. Make sure you have enough cash before going to Tioman Island.

From Jetty Tekek Village take a taxi (4x4), RM30-35 one way per person, do not rent the motosikal because the road is extremely curam, only suitable for experienced motorcyclist with motor gear and not the scooter (got 3 persons died because using the scooter). You can rent the motor gear or scooter once you arrived at Juara Village (Juara Beach). This will take 30 – 45 minutes. The person rent the scooter to me not even mention the road style there, sengaja keep silent. So, half way at bukit me and my mom decided to stop cuz the scooter break is burning already. Then we ask for help from abang2 pulau to bring down the scooter near to Juara Village border. Alhamdulillah. I trauma gila.

For me, no need to rent the motosikal cuz the Juara Village is so small, you just can do a light walk or cycle. 1 liter of petrol is RM2.40.

A lot of chalets at Juara Beach, I take Mentawak Chalet 3H2M (RM190) or you can try Beach Shack Tioman Guest House, it is more rancak and stylo.

Sampai2 dapat kunci masuk chalet, panas terok. They advise around 2 or 3 the weather is extremely hot, better stay outside. Although the chalet has aircond the room is still extremely hot.

No sunset at Juara Village! Sunshine je ade.

Snorkeling or Other Activities must be booked one day early. Got plenty of guides there. For snorkeling, RM120 per person, from 9am to 2.30pm and they will stop at Salang Beach for lunch. Lunch is separate, use your own money. Salang Beach is the most beautiful beach compared to the other 6 villages.

Kayaking is RM150 for 3 hours, kayaking from the river to the beach. Snorkeling and kayaking is under Mentawak Chalet service.

Running/Jogging

The beach is suit for running and jogging cuz it mendatar dengan seimbang dan tanah yang mampat ease you to run/jog. From left to right along the beach around 5km maybe.

Climbing – Bouldering

15/8/2022 – around 4.45pm, I am looking around at the beach to search a batu while running and jogging crazily (rindu sangat nak lari kan). I got 9 different batu. Got nice and bad rock, although it is bad rock it is still suitable to climb. Mostly 3 to 5 meters high. From beginner level to intermediate level. Some rock got death shell (cenkerang yg ditinggalkan) on the landed area, but mostly is still save to climb.
